Fun and adventure for the Summer

Practical, educational, and sporting activities to develop creativity

A summer of adventure

Fun is at the core of the Labsitters summer camps experience for our young camp participants.

We strongly believe that learning in a playful and relaxed environment is crucial for children to discover, learn, and utilise new language skills.

Activities
in nature

One of the activities in our Summer Camp is focused on experiencing nature.

Children will have the opportunity to explore the outdoors and participate in activities such as hiking, camping, and bird-watching.

The focus on nature will provide a fun and educational experience and promote a respect and appreciation for the environment.

Theatre
activities

Children will prepare a small English-language performance during the week with the help of Labsitters.

On Friday, the video of the show will be sent, or parents will be invited to watch the performance (depending on the Summer Camp).

Cooking
activities

Every two weeks, children will participate in a cooking challenge where they'll prepare a dish in competition with another team.

Judges will evaluate the dishes based on both presentation and taste.

Note: This activity is only available in select Summer Camps.

Fashion
activities

Every two weeks, children will participate in a Fashion themed activity.

Every week there will be a different activity such as: recycling activities the children will bring a garment that they no longer use and it will be transformed, decoration of a T-shirt, creation of a hat.

Team Building games

Designed to help children get to know each other, build friendships and establish respect between the group and the environment around them.

Through these activities, children have the opportunity to learn and improve their knowledge of the English language in a fun and interactive way.

These games are created to help children work together, problem solve creatively and use English to communicate.

Creative workshops

Creative workshops are another key activity organised at our summer camps for children.

These workshops offer a unique opportunity for children to improve their knowledge of the English language in a fun and interactive way. During creative workshops, children will engage in activities such as painting, sculpting, creating art with recycled materials and much more, all in English.

These activities help children develop their creativity and ability to critically think, whilst also improving their ability to communicate in English.

S.T.E.A.M. workshops

S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) workshops are another important activity organised at our summer camps for children.

Their purpose is to introduce children to disciplines related to science, technology, engineering, and maths in a fun and interactive way.

The addition of arts (A) in S.T.E.A.M. represents the importance of the interweaving of these disciplines and the art of developing cross-cutting skills and an ‘out of the box’ mindset.

During S.T.E.A.M. workshops, children will have the opportunity to experiment with scientific experiments, build engineering projects, and use maths to solve creative problems, all accompanied by the use of English as the medium of instruction.

These activities will help children develop key skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and build creativity. Fundamental elements to their future success, both in school and in their professional lives.

Sports activities

During the cooler hours of the day, children will have the opportunity to be challenged by and have fun playing various sports. These could include football, archery, badminton, bowling, and many other sporting activities.

Sports are an excellent opportunity for children to improve their physical fitness and increase endurance.

In addition, sports promote healthy competition, collaboration, and cooperation, teaching them important values such as fair play and respect for opponents.

Sports can also help children develop their self-esteem and overcome their limits, encouraging their personal growth.

Science Labs

They offer the opportunity to discover, experiment, question, and seek answers to the phenomena that surround us.

Music Labs

Through simple songs in English, they allow even the shyest children to convey their linguistic uncertainties through rhythm, rhyming words, physical movements, and the security of sharing the experience with a group of peers.

Theatre Labs

Activities such as improvisation and construction of a theatrical script, spark the imagination and encourage artistic expression. Children will create a mini show for parents made up of videos and photographs.
