Recreational, educational and sports activities to stimulate creativity

A summer full of adventures

The fun is the basis of the experience that Labsitters offers to the little participants in the Summer Camps.

Our firm belief is that experiencing learning in a playful, relaxed, pleasant, and sharing environment is essential for the child, in order to know, learn, internalize, and use new language skills.

Outdoor
activities

One of the activities of our summer center is focused on the nature experience. The children will have the opportunity to explore the external environment and participate in activities such as hiking, camping, and bird watching.

This emphasis on nature will not only provide a fun and educational experience but will also promote respect and appreciation for the environment.

Theater
activities

The children will prepare a small show in English during the week with the help of the Labsitters.

On Friday the video of the show will be sent, or parents will be invited to see the show (depending on the summer center).

Cooking
activities

Every 2 weeks the children will participate in a cooking challenge, they will have to prepare a dish and compete with another team.

Judges will evaluate the dishes based on plating and taste.

NB. Activity present only in some summer centers.

Fashion
activities

Every 2 weeks the children will have the Fashion activity, related to the world of fashion.

Every week there will be a different activity such as: recycling activities where children will bring an item they no longer use and it will be transformed, decorating a t-shirt, creating a hat.

Team Building Games

Team building games are an important activity that is organized in summer camps for children.

Their purpose is to introduce the children to each other and to create a respectful group of children who are respectful of themselves, others, and the environment that surrounds them.

Also, through these activities, children have the opportunity to learn and improve their knowledge of the English language in a fun and interactive way. These games are designed to help children work together, communicate effectively, and solve problems creatively using English as the vehicular language.

Through these activities, children learn to overcome difficulties and achieve goals as a group, while improving their ability to communicate in English.

Creative Workshops

Creative workshops are another important activity that is organized in summer camps for children.

Their purpose is to stimulate children's imagination, their manual skills, and their understanding of their personal capabilities.

Moreover, these workshops offer a unique opportunity for children to improve their English language knowledge in a fun and interactive way.
During creative workshops, children will engage in activities such as painting, sculpting, creating objects from recycled materials, and much more, all in English.

These activities help children to develop their creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, whilst improving their English communication skills.

S.T.E.A.M. Workshops

The S.T.E.A.M. workshops (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) are another important activity that is organized in summer camps for children.

Their purpose is to introduce children to disciplines related to science, technology, engineering, and math, in a fun and interactive way.

The addition of art (A) in the name S.T.E.A.M. represents the importance of the intertwining of these disciplines and art in developing cross-curricular skills and an "out of the box" mindset.

During the S.T.E.A.M. workshops, children will have the chance to experiment with scientific experiments, construct engineering projects, and use math to solve creative problems, all with the use of English as the vehicular language.

These activities will help children develop key skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity which are paramount for their future success both in school and professional life.

Sports Activities

During the cooler hours of the day, children will have the opportunity to challenge and have fun with various kinds of sports. These may include football, archery, badminton, bowls, and many other sports activities.

Sports are a great opportunity for the children to improve their physical shape and increase their endurance. In addition, sports promote healthy competition, collaboration, and cooperation, teaching them important values such as fair play and respect for opponents. Sports can also help children to develop self-esteem and overcome their own limits, encouraging their personal growth.

Science Workshops

They open up the possibility to discover, experiment, ask, and seek an answer in the phenomena that surround us.

Music Workshops

Through simple songs in English, they allow even the shyest to channel their linguistic uncertainties through rhythm, rhyming words, physical movement, and the safety of sharing the experience with a peer group.

Theatre Workshops

Improvisation activities, construction of a theatrical text and scenery to let the imagination fly and create a mini virtual show for parents made of videos and photos.
